Hunts are divided into age groups, set up on a first-come, first-served basis, and will take place in the zoos North Meadow area, except for those ages 3 and under, who will search for their eggs in a toddler-safe area called The Corral.
The toddlers hunts will go on from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The older childrens hunts, for ages 3 to 5 and 6 to 8, will start at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 1:30 p.m. and 2 p.m.
Instead of receiving treats directly from the plastic eggs they gather, children will stop at the Candy Station to collect goodies as they leave the egg hunt.
Also, Easter baskets will be taken to various animals from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., so visitors can see zoo animals enjoy Easter as well.
