Granite Falls man who died 10 days after fight is identified

GRANITE FALLS — A man who died 10 days after getting into a fight in downtown Granite Falls last month has been identified by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office as Jeffrey D. Watson.

Watson, who was 55 and lived in Granite Falls, was involved in an altercation on the 100 block of West Stanley Street on Sept. 30, according to the medical examiner. He suffered blunt-force injuries and died at a local hospital Oct. 10.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
