The nonprofit Providence General Children’s Association recently awarded $5,000 to Arlington Kids’ Kloset to help provide hygiene and health-related essentials to low-income students in the Arlington, Lakewood and Darrington school districts, as well as to homeless youth and children of north Snohomish County families who find themselves in emergency situations due to fire, natural disaster or sudden relocation.
The association also awarded $3,900 to Whidbey Island Nourishes in support of its backpack and self-serve food programs that focus on children from low-income households on south Whidbey Island.
