BREMERTON — A gray whale has ventured into south Puget Sound where it was seen Monday in Budd Inlet at Olympia.
A few gray whales typically venture into Puget Sound each spring during their annual migration from breeding grounds off Mexico to feeding grounds off Alaska.
Olympia-based Cascadia Research says the visitors often are sickly juveniles who may die.
