OLYMPIA — Gov. Chris Gregoire called an 11 a.m. news conference today to discuss the legislative session.
She says she may call a special session for lawmakers to finish work on a handful of bills that were left when time ran out. They include Gregoire’s requested legislation on climate change.
The Legislature adjourned at 1 a.m. today, ending a 105-day session. Lawmakers cut projected spending by $4 billion to pass a $35 billion operating budget for the next two years. They also passed a $7.5 billion transportation budget and a $3.2 billion construction budget.
