The group supporting changing Lynnwood’s form of government from a mayor-council system to a council-manager system has raised $21,765 and spent $21,480.
The change is on Lynnwood ballots as Proposition 1.
The group, “People for a Better Lynnwood,” has contributions of $1,000 or more from the International City Manager’s Association, Acura of Lynnwood owner Jim Moreno, the Rotary Club of Lynnwood Service Foundation*, the Washington Council of County and City Employees and Edmonds resident Jane Jones.
The group’s major expenditures have been for printing, mailing and yard signs.
The “No on Prop 1 Committee” is using the State Public Disclosure Commission’s “mini-reporting” option, which exempts it from filing detailed periodic reports until after the election as long as it raises and spends less than $5,000.
