KIRKLAND — King County sheriff’s deputies say two people were shot and injured during a home invasion near Kirkland — and the robber may have been after medical marijuana.
Sheriff’s sergeant John Urquhart says the home is known to authorities as a medical marijuana grow site.
The homeowner was armed with a handgun and exchanged fire with a suspect shortly before 5 a.m. Monday. The injuries are not life threatening.
Urquhart says investigators are trying to sort out exactly what happened, including whether anyone else was involved.
