ROY — Police are searching for a gunman that opened fire in Roy, a small town about 45 miles south of Seattle.
KCPQ-TV reported that this is the second time in less than a year that someone has fired bullets into the City Hall building, first on Halloween and again early Wednesday. No injuries were reported during either shooting.
The shooter opened fire with a .22 caliber firearm from across the roadway. A bullet also broke a window at a steakhouse down the street from City Hall.
Another shooting last fall sent slugs in the mayor’s office and left holes in a judges robes that had been hanging on a door.
Police are trying to determine if the shooting last fall is somehow connected to the most recent shooting.
