Hail hit much of Snohomish County Monday night and may be a sign of things to come.
KIRO-TV meteorologist Andy Wappler said Snohomish County hills could have snow this morning. He predicted temperatures in the low 20s Wednesday and Thursday. Snow is possible Friday and Saturday.
Monday night, hail one-quarter-inch and larger came down from Granite Falls to Bothell.
“Cold air poured in quickly at high altitudes, and the teeter- totter effect of air going up and down led to lightning and thunder,” Wappler said.
