STANWOOD — An 82-year-old Stanwood man and two girls from Camano Island were injured Saturday when two cars collided in a hailstorm on Highway 532.
Both vehicles — a red Toyota Corolla and a blue van — were traveling westbound on the highway near 36th Avenue NW when the accident happened at 2:25 p.m.
Edward C. Johnson was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The driver of the van was uninjured, but two girls, ages 9 and 11, were treated and released at Providence Everett Medical Center’s Colby Campus.

Listing ship is OK: A large ship in the harbor at the Port of Everett’s Hewitt Avenue marine terminal appeared to be listing during the weekend, but was not in danger, a port security officer said.
The ship was listing because it hasn’t taken on any oil, which balances the ship and lowers it in the water. The ship is scheduled to leave today or Wednesday.
