SEATTLE — A Mill Creek man suspected of being the Harry Potter Bandit, a serial bank robber, was charged last month in federal court.
Caleb Dierlam made a first appearance Dec. 20 in U.S. District Court in Seattle. He is charged with three counts of bank robbery and accused of at least three other holdups that weren’t charged.
Dierlam, 20, was released on bond after another hearing Dec. 22.
Prosecutors allege that he netted more than $9,000 from the robberies. The locations included Everett, Lynnwood, Mount Vernon, Pierce County and Oregon.
He was arrested Dec. 14. The FBI and local police reportedly found makeup and hair dye used in the robberies when they searched his home. He was renting a room in Mill Creek from friends of his parents, who live in another state.
