SEATTLE — Heavy rain is forecast from Saturday night to Monday in Western Washington.
The National Weather Service expects 3 to 7 inches in the Cascades with the snow level rising as high as 6,000 feet. Forecasters expect up to 3 inches of rain in the Western Washington lowlands. The runoff could fill some rivers to flood stage by early next week.
Mountain snow is forecast at the higher elevations.
In Eastern Washington there’s a chance of valley snow or freezing rain into early next week.
