STEVENSON — Thirty-eight searchers plus Coast Guard and Washington National Guard aircraft are looking for a 24-year-old Portland woman missing on a hike near Bonneville Dam in Skamania County.
Undersheriff Dave Cox said slowly improving weather today helped searchers in rugged terrain in the Table Mountain area.
Katherine Huether was last heard from on Thursday when she texted a friend she was at a trailhead. She was reported missing Saturday night, and deputies located her car at a trailhead.
The only clue to her disappearance is a credit card receipt with her name found Sunday about four miles north of Bonneville Dam.
Cox also said detectives are investigating a report of a flasher Thursday in the area.
