People for Puget Sound and the Volunteer Corps of Jetty Island Stewards are looking for volunteers to assist in an island-wide day of conservation.
The cleanup will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 3 in an effort to spruce up the wild habitat for the summer through various projects, including weed removal and building a trail around newly planted areas.
Families are encouraged to participate and will work with Jetty Island Stewards, the Everett Parks Department and local kiteboarders while enjoying the island’s spring solitude.
