EVERETT — Brides-to-be started lining up at the Comcast Arena at midnight Friday, positioning themselves at the starting line of the third-annual Dress Dash. The early-bird sale of 500 bridal gowns, priced at $150 each, was sponsored by MOViN 92.5 to benefit the Portland-based Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation.
“You can’t beat $150,” said Erin Scharf, a public relations manager with the foundation, which provided the gowns.
The event, part of the Northwest Bridal Show, raised $11,340 from the sale of the wedding dresses.
The bridal show features more than 100 local and national wedding vendors, including gown and invitation sellers, florists, caterers, photographers, videographers, disc jockeys and hair and make-up artists.
It continues from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center at Comcast Arena, 2000 Hewitt Ave., Everett. Tickets are $12.
