While election workers prepare to count the votes, those at the Sunlight Foundation have been busy tabulating the spending by outside groups in all the federal races.
Washington’s U.S. Senate race between Sen. Patty Murray and Dino Rossi has attracted the third highest amount of money from outside groups, according to the organization. The total as of this morning is $19,955,995. The two states above Washington are the U.S. Senate races in Pennsylvania and Colorado.
