Hey, Paula… what’s the deal?

I’m not saying she’s drunk, but the question seems like a fair one.

Seattle’s KCPQ, the local Fox affiliate, is getting some big-time attention on YouTube these days as a video of her recent interview is making the rounds on the popular Web site. The video appears under the title “What is she smokin’???”

Her publicist tells Reuters that she was just tired after a series of interviews that morning (note “morning”!), and that there were technical difficulties with the sound that made the “Idol” judge roll her eyes. But he didn’t say anything about why she seemed to be falling out of her chair.

“She never drinks. I have known Paula Abdul since she was 13, and I have never seen her drink ever in my life. … And no, she is not on any kind of medication,” publicist Jeff Ballard told the news service. “She was a little tired.”

She was a little something, for sure.
