MUKILTEO — Sheriff’s detectives believe a bank robbery that happened Thursday is connected to another incident from last month.
Detectives are looking for the suspect who walked into the U.S. Bank in the 3700 block of Harbor Pointe Boulevard around 4 p.m and demanded cash, Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
The suspect is described as white man in his 20s with a thin build. He was wearing a tan jacket, dark pants and a red and blue baseball cap.
Detectives believe he is associated with a blue Toyota pickup, Hover said.
The same pickup was seen at the site of another robbery that took place around 2:45 p.m. on Oct. 23, when a man stole money from the Alaska USA Credit Union in the 20700 block of Bothell-Everett Highway, Hover said. The suspect implied that he had a gun.
Deputies searched the area but couldn’t find him, Hover said.
This suspect is described as a white man about 5 feet, 7 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. He had a blue bandanna over his face and his age range is unknown, Hover said.
Detectives haven’t confirmed that the blue Toyota pickup has to do with the robberies, but there may be a connection, Hover said.
Anyone with any information about either robbery is asked to call the sheriff’s tip line at 425-388-3845.
