LYNNWOOD – Detectives are still searching for at least two people who reportedly shot a Lynnwood couple during a home-invasion style robbery.
The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office plans to increase patrols near the 15100 block of Cascadian Way, where the robbery occurred about 8:50 p.m. Thursday, sheriff’s Sgt. Ty Trenary said.
The couple’s wounds were not life-threatening, Trenary said.
Investigators haven’t determined whether the attack was random, Trenary said. However, as of Thursday afternoon, it didn’t appear the victims knew the suspects, he said.
“I want people to make sure to look out for themselves and their neighbors, which is what neighborhoods do,” Trenary said.
The robbers were wearing masks when they broke into the home. The sheriff’s office has not released descriptions of the suspects.
Brad Hornshaw, 44, lives two houses down from where the home invasion occurred. He said deputies didn’t tell him what was going on when he came home late Thursday to find police cars on his street.
“This does surprise me,” Hornshaw said. “(The neighborhood) has been kind of quiet.”
