The Washington State Grange has awarded a $1,000 Bear Creek-Horseshoe Grange Scholarship to Isabella Lierman, the daughter of Davie and Janelle Lierman. The family belongs to Horseshoe Grange. Lierman is a 2017 graduate of Snohomish High School and is pursuing a degree in elementary education at Washington State University.
Lierman has been an officer at both Horseshoe Grange and Snohomish County Pomona Grange. She has been a counselor at Cornet Bay Junior Grange Camp for five years. She has participated in numerous service projects, such as tutoring students, food and toy drives, and helping set up displays at the Evergreen State Fair. She also was a trumpet girl for the seventh degree at the 2017 National Grange Convention in Spokane.
