EVERETT – A man was seriously injured this morning when he jumped off a highway overpass into rush-hour traffic, officials said.
The man, 65, of Montana, did not hit any cars and was not struck by traffic when he jumped off the 128th Street SE overpass onto the southbound lanes of I-5 about 8 a.m., Snohomish County sheriff’s spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said.
He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious head injuries, she said.
Traffic was restricted to one lane for about 30 minutes as medics treated the man.
