IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Authorities in eastern Idaho say an 8-year-old Ashton boy playing in a logging yard died when a large log dislodged from the top of a pile of logs and rolled over him.
The Ashton Police Department told the Post Register that the death occurred on the north side of Ashton at about 4 p.m. on Friday.
Attempts by emergency responders to resuscitate the boy failed.
His name hasn’t been released.
