IDAHO FALLS, Idaho — Officials in the southeast Idaho city of Idaho Falls are considering a rule change to increase the limit on the number of dogs in a household from two to three.
But the rule change will also eliminate a noncommercial kennel license that allows residents to have more than three dogs.
The Post Register reports that the proposed rules wouldn’t force residents with more than three dogs to eliminate pets. But they’d have to wait until they were under the three-dog limit before getting another dog.
The City Council recently gave preliminary approval for the plan and will take public comments at its meeting on Nov. 13.
