SEATTLE — Three concepts for Jimi Hendrix Park in Seattle will be unveiled at a workshop Thursday evening at the Northwest African American Museum.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reports the concepts developed by landscape architect Murase Associates center on themes of butterfly, guitar and spiral flower. The firm will have a final design concept by Aug. 10 for the 6-acre park in the Central District, adjacent to the old Colman School.
Hendrix was a Seattle native and rock music star who died in 1970 in London. He is buried in Renton.
