Air Force Airman 1st Class Kiana C. Scott graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Scott is the daughter of Janet Scott of St. George, Utah. She is a 2007 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2011 from the University of Utah.
Air Force Airman Kurt D. Nelson graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Nelson is the son of Ronn Nelson of Clinton. He is a 2008 graduate of South Whidbey High School, Langley.
Navy Seaman Recruit Kelsee Lillian Reese, daughter of Mark and Tracey Reese of Everett and Carrie and Jeff Boothby of Bothell, has completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes. She hopes to become a turbine engineer. Reese is a 2012 graduate of Mariner High School and is the granddaughter of Sharon Reese of Everett.
Air Force Airman Samuel R. Greenwell graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. Greenwell is the son of Kimberly Prescott of Everett and is a 2011 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School in Mill Creek.

Whidbey Island Naval Air Station: Military retiree seminar set
A free seminar for military retirees is scheduled for 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 15 at the Nor’Wester at Ault Field.
Military retirees and their spouses from all service branches are encouraged to attend this annual seminar, which covers earned entitlements, eligibility and legislative changes to programs and services.
Surviving spouses are particularly encouraged to attend this seminar to find out about benefits and resources available to them.
This event is presented by the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island Retired Activities Office, in conjunction with the Fleet and Family Support Center.
