Air Force Airman First Class Paul B. Sparks graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas, on Dec. 28. Sparks earned distinction as an honor graduate and expert marksman. He now attends the transportation school at Fort Lee, Va. He is the son of Tom and Darcy Sparks of Mill Creek and is a 2010 graduate of Henry M. Jackson High School.
Army Spec. Trevor D. Dringman has returned home after a deployment as an airborne infantryman assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for two years. The son of Laura Rasar of Stanwood, the specialist is a 2010 graduate of Stanwood High School.
Army Spec. Ryan M. Saluat has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas. Saluat is a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear specialist assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has five years of military service. He is the son of Alfred Saluat and brother of Tracy Zook, both of Everett.
Army Sgt. Aaron D. Walker has returned home after deployment as an infantry team leader assigned to the 4th Airborne Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. He has served in the military for 12 years. His wife, Briahana, is the daughter of Dennis Johnsen of Everett. The sergeant is a 2001 graduate of Everett High School.
Navy Seaman Apprentice Samantha J. Estill, daughter of Donna and Brad Estill of Clinton, recently completed basic training at Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Estill is a 2011 graduate of South Whidbey High School.
Navy Seaman Recruit Zackary D. Morgan, son of Jane and David Morgan of Mountlake Terrace, recently completed Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Morgan is a 2012 graduate of Scriber Lake High School in Edmonds.
Navy Seaman Crisanthony C. Cabarubias, son of Anastacia and Crisostomo Cabarubias of Mountlake Terrace, recently completed basic training at U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Cabarubias is a 2011 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School.
