Army Pvt. Megan Cleaver has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina. Cleaver is the daughter of Brian Cleaver, of Lynnwood. She is a 2014 graduate of Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood.
Air Force Airman Ruth Maina graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Maina is the daughter of Susan Maina, of Lynnwood. She graduated in 2010 from Lynnwood High School and earned an associate degree in 2013 from North Seattle Community College.

Veterans of World War II are invited to tour for free a Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress “Nine O Nine” heavy bomber, Consolidated B-24 Liberator “Witchcraft” heavy bomber, B-25 Mitchell “Tondelayo” mid-bomber and P-51 Mustang fighter, June 19-21 at Paine Field in Everett. Other visitors can explore the aircraft for a fee during the Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour stop at the Flying Heritage Collection, 3407 109th St. SW.
