Active Duty

Command Master Chief David Carrothers of Oak Harbor was honored by Fleet Logistics Support Squadron 61 during an April 18 retirement ceremony at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Carrothers served at VR-61 for 29 months and caps a 30-year naval career. Carrothers was presented with a Meritorious Service medal for his service with VR-61.

Army Spc. Jordan Wall has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. He is a 2008 graduate of Mountlake Terrace High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2013 from the University of Washington.

Air Force Airman Sadie Greene graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Greene is the daughter of Michelle Greene and Jeffrey Greene of Langley. She is a 2014 graduate of South Whidbey High School.
