Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Isha E. Oliver graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Oliver is the daughter of Stephen and Dorien Oliver, of Monroe. She is a 2012 graduate of Sky Valley Education Center, Monroe.

This year marks the U.S. Navy Reserve centennial anniversary. To celebrate the occasion, Gov. Jay Inslee proclaimed March 14 to be “Navy Reservist Day” in Washington.

Capt. Scott C. McMahon, commander of Navy Region Northwest Reserve Component Command, and Cmdr. Derek Dwyer, commander of Navy Operational Support Center in Everett, will host a Centennial Celebration at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Naval Station Everett Grand Vista Ballroom. More than 160 Navy Reserve sailors with their families plan to attend.

Rear Adm. Eric C. Young will be the keynote speaker.Troy McClelland, Port of Everett Dist. 1 commissioner, will also make remarks as a reserve officer.
