Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Sandra M. Williams, daughter of Gregory Morgan, of Everett, and Christy Morgan, of Sagle, Idaho, recently reported for duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, based in Norfolk, Virginia. Williams joined the Navy in February 2010.

Salute for Vietnam-era veterans and their families: Joint Base Lewis-McChord officials anticipate that as many as 1,000 Vietnam-era veterans will attend the Vietnam Veterans Salute Ceremony from 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 9 at Watkins Field, JBLM. The keynote speaker will be Vietnam veteran and Distinguished Service Cross recipient, retired Gen. Barry McCaffrey.
