Employer honored for supporting Reservists
EVERETT — Jeffery Quigley, a manager at Home and Community of Everett, was presented a Patriot Award on Dec. 7 by the Washington Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee.
The award honors supervisors who support and work with employees who are members of the National Guard and Reserves.
“Supportive supervisors are critical to maintaining the strength and readiness of the nation’s Guard and Reserve units,” said John Van Dalen, ombudsman for the Employer Support group.
Quigley was nominated by USCG Lt. Kazuaki Sugiyama, of the 313 Port Security Unit at Naval Station Everett, who was called to active duty for six months in Connecticut.
The Employer Support group, a program of the Department of Defense, supports the men and women of the Guard and Reserves, including employer and supervisor awards programs, under the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act. Learn more at esgr.mil.
