Mill Creek man to lead Wizards
The Wizards of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 133 plans to conduct a formal change of command ceremony Nov. 10 at Naval Air Station Whidbey Island. Cmdr. Todd Zentner, of Mill Creek, is set to relieve Cmdr. Blake J. Tornga as the commanding officer of the Wizards.
Zentner, a 1993 graduate of Cascade High School, received his commission from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1998 and graduated from the U.S. Naval War College in 2015 before joining VAQ-133 as executive officer. He has made numerous deployments in support of Operations Enduring and Iraqi Freedom, and to the Western Pacific theater.
“It is an honor to serve with the great men and women in the Wizards, but also to serve where I was raised. I learned to fly in Snohomish when I was a kid, and dreamed of flying the jets at Whidbey Island. Now I get to live that dream every day,” Zentner said in a statement.
Active Duty
U.S. Air Force Airman Terence Starzl graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Starzl is a 2016 graduate of Everett High School.
