Indle Gifford King Jr., who was convicted Feb. 21 of the strangulation death of his mail-order-bride wife, was sentenced Thursday to 28 years, 11 months in prison.
King, 40, of Mountlake Terrace, adamantly denied participation in the September 2000 death of Anastasia King, who came to this country from Bishkek Kyrgyzstan in the former Soviet Union. The trial lasted more than a month and hundreds of documents were introduced as evidence, but a Snohomish County Superior Court jury took only 5 1/2hours to convict him.
Most of the members of that jury met the dead woman’s parents at her gravesite near Lynnwood two days after the conviction to pray and present them with gifts and a plaque. Several jury members attended King’s sentencing.
