EVERETT — A baby girl who was hospitalized after a boat capsized near Everett on Tuesday night was doing better Wednesday.
The infant was one of six people who went into Possession Sound off Harborview Park. They all were pulled to safety by Everett police and firefighters.
Everyone who went into the water was fine Wednesday, Everett police Sgt. Robert Goetz said.
“The children were cold, but no one was seriously injured,” he said.
Police have finished their investigation into the capsizing, he said. The exact cause was undetermined, but somehow the power boat began taking on water.
No citations are expected because nothing illegal occurred, Goetz said.
Rescue crews were called out to the overturned boat about 7 p.m.
The other people pulled from the water were a woman, two men and two children. They are from Lynnwood and Mill Creek, Goetz said.
The boat’s owner planned to work with a private company to recover the boat on Wednesday night, he said.
