LYNNWOOD — A five-car collision on Highway 99 sent two drivers to Stevens Hospital on Sunday afternoon with minor injuries.
The Washington State Patrol rushed to the scene of the accident at 3:42 p.m., trooper Mark Francis said.
One vehicle was speeding as it neared the highway’s intersection with 156th Street SW, Francis said. Its driver didn’t have time to stop at a light.
“The driver crashed into the back of car one, and did the domino effect with the four cars in front of him,” Francis said.
The collision briefly closed two lanes of the highway. Officers were able to reopen a lane within 10 minutes, and were on the scene until 5:11 p.m., Francis said.
