James Watkins, an entrepreneur and former Microsoft manager, has launched a campaign to unseat Democratic U.S. Rep. Jay Inslee in 2010.
“We’re at a moment of clarity in our country. We the People are paying attention and following our representatives’ votes very carefully,” Watkins said in a prepared statement issued Wednesday.
“We won’t let professional politicians like Congressman Inslee get away with voting for massive spending, bigger government and less freedom – and then come home and tell voters they’re looking out for us,” he said.

Inslee faced Republican Larry Ishmael in 2006 and 2008 and defeated him by a two-to-one margin both times.
