EVERETT — Investigators are seeking information, photos and video of a fire that destroyed a century-old building in Everett late Monday.
Firefighters from around Snohomish County were called to Everett Office Furniture along Broadway around 10:15 p.m. They rescued a person who had been trapped on the second floor of a nearby apartment.
The building collapsed on itself. Crews fought flames well into the next morning.
The blaze caused $1.5 million in damage, according to the preliminary estimate. That cost could go up.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives is assisting the Everett Fire Department with the investigation into what caused the fire.
Anyone with information is asked to call the non-emergency number at 425-407-3999 or contact Everett Fire Department at fmo@everettwa.gov.
