U.S. military deaths
The latest identifications reported by the U.S. military of personnel recently killed in Iraq or while assigned to an outlying base:
Army Sgt. Bradley W. Marshall, 37, Little Rock, Ark.; and Army Spc. Daniel F. Reyes, 24, San Diego; killed July 31 in Tunis by indirect fire; assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 377th Parachute Field Artillery Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.
Army Sgt. Dustin S. Wakeman, 25, Fort Worth, Texas; Army Cpl. Jason K. Lafleur, 28, Ignacio, Colo.; and Army Pfc. Jaron D. Holliday, 21, Tulsa, Okla.; killed Saturday in Hawr Rajab, Iraq, when their vehicle struck an explosive; assigned to the 1st Squadron, 40th Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, Fort Richardson, Alaska.
Army Sgt. 1st Class Travis S. Bachman, 30, Garden City, Kan., died Aug. 1 in Mosul, Iraq, when an explosive detonated near his vehicle in Al Basrah; assigned to the 714th Security Force, Kansas Army National Guard, Topeka, Kan.
Army Pfc. Matthew M. Murchison, 21, Independence, Mo., died Saturday in Baghdad when his vehicle struck an explosive; assigned to the 127th Military Police Company, 720th Military Police Battalion, 89th Military Police Brigade, Hanau, Germany.
