EDMONDS — Police on Thursday arrested a 24-year-old Seattle man who tried to rob a jewelry store.
The man entered Cline Custom Jewelers in the 23600 block of Highway 99 at 2:28 p.m., bringing items he wanted to sell, Edmonds police reported. Then he grabbed some items and tried to run away. The store’s owner, his son and another employee caught the man and held him until police officers arrived.
Police have yet to determine charges against the man.
Lynnwood: Car prowl suspects in custody
Police said they arrested two Lynnwood boys, 14 and 16, who are accused of breaking into nearly 20 cars last weekend.
The boys were arrested Sunday, Lynnwood police spokeswoman Shannon Sessions said.
Officers have identified more than 20 victims and have returned most of the stolen property, she said.
Many of the vehicles were not locked, Sessions said. People should properly secure their vehicles to protect their property. If someone discovers their car has been broken into, they should call 911.
