KENNEWICK — Benton County commissioners have chosen Kennewick Mayor Pro-Tem Sharon Brown to fill a state Senate seat representing the Tri-Cities.
She’ll replace Sen. Jerome Delvin who was sworn in last month as a Benton County commissioner.
KVEW reported that state Reps. Larry Haler and Brad Klippert also were interviewed Monday for the appointment.
Brown said her priorities are to help small businesses and build relationships in Olympia to benefit the Tri-Cities. She’ll have to run in a special election in November to keep the Senate seat.
