SEATTLE — The King County sheriff’s office says a deputy who worked on a narcotics task force turned into a drug dealer.
Deputy Mitch Wright resigned while under investigation in July, and the 33-year-old Bothell man was arrested Tuesday on federal charges of drug trafficking.
The U.S. attorney’s office said he made his first court appearance and was ordered held for another detention hearing on Feb. 20.
If convicted of conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, Wright faces at least five years in prison.
