Kingston man sentenced for rape of girl he met on Instagram

PORT ORCHARD — A 48-year-old Kingston man has been sentenced to 9½ years in prison for bringing a 15-year-old Florida girl he met online to Kitsap County so they could engage in a relationship.

The Kitsap Sun reported that Jeffrey Dilks pleaded guilty on Aug. 22 to a count of first-degree kidnapping with sexual motivation and a count of third-degree rape of a child.

Investigators say Dilks met the girl through Instagram and was exchanging naked photographs with her before he sent her a bus ticket. The girl stayed with him in Kitsap County for about two months.
