Snohomish High School students aim to raise $40,000 and assemble 150,000 meals for families facing hunger in Haiti and Snohomish County. The Snohomish Kiwanis Club recently gave them a $5,000 boost.
The students are now about $14,000 away from their goal.
The effort, through Snohomish-based Dream Dinners’ Living the Dream Foundation, aims to send 100,000 meals to Haiti and 50,000 meals to Volunteers of America, local schools and other area community programs. Students also hope to raise $6,000 for the Snohomish Food Bank.
Donations will be accepted until May 10 at http://livingthedreamfoundation.com/our-mission/donations.
