SNOHOMISH — A man robbed a downtown convenience store at knifepoint early Thursday morning and eluded officers who tried to track him, Snohomish police said.
The man walked into the 7-Eleven at Avenue D and Second Street with a bandana covering his face around 3:44 a.m., Snohomish police Cmdr. George Perillo said. He showed a knife, then left the store. Officers had no luck tracking him with a police dog.
The robber appeared to be white and about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, Perillo said. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.
Detectives were investigating whether the holdup was connected to others in which the robber showed a knife, Perillo said.
Anybody with tips about the case is asked to call Detective Sgt. A.J. Bryant at 360-568-0888, ext. 248.
