SNOHOMISH — Police are seeking the public’s help to identify three young men who robbed a business in the 600 block of Second Street.
The robbery occurred about 9:40 p.m. Tuesday when the trio entered the store. One displayed a folding knife with a 5-inch blade and demanded money. They fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and left in a white, four-door car, Snohomish Police Sgt. James T. Upton said.
The three were described as white males between 18 and 21 years old. The one who wielded the knife had a shaved head, was about 5 feet 10 inches and 150 pounds. He wore black, baggy jeans.
Police ask anyone with information about the three robbers to call detective Kristi Cuddy at 360-568-0888.
Bothell
House fire: A Bothell man who was alerted to a fire in his home by a smoke detector escaped harm Wednesday.
Firefighters from Bothell Fire and Emergency Medical Services and Woodinville Fire and Life Safety District responded about 4 p.m. to the fire in a mobile home in the Twin Creeks Mobile Home Park. They have not determined a cause, said Lisa Marie Allen, Bothell fire public information officer.
The fire caused extensive damage in one room and smoke damage throughout the residence, she said. Fire officials estimated damage and loss at $20,000.
The owner evacuated his home and called 911 from a neighbor’s home.
"Smoke detectors are an essential early detection device," Allen said.
If you have a battery-operated smoke detector, remember to change the batteries every six months, she said.
