Folks better hurry if they want to see Stan Boreson in person.
Tickets to watch the Camano Island crooner go quickly when he performs in Everett.
The Herald recently profiled the king of Scandinavian humor and put a video of him on heraldnet.com.
Read this twice so it sinks in: There have been more than 3.3 million page views since his video was posted on our site in December. Page views indicate the number of times an article, or in this case a video, was viewed.
Views have been noted from around the world — people peeking at Boreson singing “I Just Don’t Look Good Naked Anymore.”
Well, who does?
See him perform at 6 p.m. Sept. 6 at Normanna Hall, 2725 Oakes Ave., Everett. For more information, call 425-252-0291.

We hear a lot about the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and million-Âdollar donations to this and that group.
The Gateses’ well-financed foundation makes the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation seem like the little engine that could.
But never doubt the power of a smaller locomotive. The Stanwood-Camano group gave away $130,000 in scholarships to high school seniors this year.
That is a bundle for a not-so-large community.
They have another sock under the mattress stuffed with $8,000 for adults who need college money. For more information, call the foundation at 360-629-6878 or e-mail info@s-caf.org.
Foundation executive director Theresa Metzger is excited about the past and future contributions to education.
“We were able to award a scholarship to every student who applied,” Metzger said. “A record 130 students. Yay for Stanwood-Camano.”

I’m tickled to report that members of Boy Scout Troop 222 are packing bug spray in their duffle bags.
They are heading to Scout camp in August.
It was iffy that troop members from Granite Falls and Lake Stevens would make the trip.
I wrote about an auction they put on — Scouts offered to clean garages and mow lawns to earn money for the Oregon adventure.
“The auction was a great success, and all the Scouts will get to go to camp this year,” said Earnie Glazener, whose son, Sam, is a Scout. “They are excited. Should be a great experience for them.”

Fun Fact: Daughters of Norway, Ingeborg Lodge No. 43 in Stanwood offers programs such as how to play the card game Whist.
Probably 75 percent of the group is Norwegian, or of Norwegian descent, or have husbands with Norwegian ancestors, member Gail Folgedalen said.
Folgedalen said she thinks the group should be called Daughters of Scandinavia.
“But that’s me,” she said. “I am not Norwegian; however, my husband’s grandfather was from Norway and his grandmother from Denmark.”
Folgedalen has an English background.
“We just have roots or an interest in our ancestors,” she said. “We are all Americans, first and foremost.”
