Kucinich to speak in Olympia in support of I-522

OLYMPIA — Former Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich will be in Washington state this week to speak in support of a statewide initiative that would mandate the labeling of genetically engineered foods.

Kucinich will speak at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Olympia on Thursday night.

Initiative 522 would require food and seeds produced entirely or partly through genetic engineering and sold in Washington state to be labeled as such. The measure will be on the November ballot.
