La Center High School student killed in crash

VANCOUVER, Wash. — An 18-year-old killed in a motorcycle crash near Amboy was identified as La Center High School senior Cameron Kewitz of Woodland.

The sheriff’s office says there were no witnesses to the crash Monday but the motorcycle was apparently speeding too fast for conditions and hit an embankment.

The Columbian reports Kewitz played football for his high school but dropped the sport to become a fire cadet with Clark County Fire &Rescue.
