Former Pierce County Executive John Ladenburg announced today he is exploring another bid for state Attorney General.
“I am taking the first step evaluating a potential run for Attorney General,” Ladenburg stated in a press release. “I will spend time speaking with my family and supporters before I make any final decisions.”
There is no timeline on when Ladenburg will make a decision, according to the statement.
Ladenburg, a Democrat, unsuccessfully challenged Republican Attorney General Rob McKenna in 2008. He lost by an overwhelming margin of 59.5 percent to 40.5 percent.
Today, there are two candidates in the race, officially.
McKenna is one though most in the political world suspect he’ll be seeking the governorship in 2012.
The other is Democrat Bob Ferguson, a Metropolitan King County Councilmember. Ferguson announced Feb. 14.
