LAKE STEVENS — No one was injured in a fire Monday evening that resulted in about $100,000 in damage to a residential duplex in the 2400 block of 99th Avenue NE, Assistant Fire Marshal David Petersen said.
The homeowner reported the fire at about 6:15 p.m. and firefighters arrived shortly thereafter. Smoke alarms were sounding and residents had evacuated, Petersen said. Firefighters from Marysville and Fire District 22 assisted in quickly extinguishing the flames in the duplex’s garage.
The Red Cross is assisting those displaced. The fire is under investigation by the Lake Stevens and Snohomish County fire marshals.
